Diver Propulsion Vehicle (DPV) Diver Course

DPV, also known as diver propulsion vehicles or scooters, offer a thrilling way to cover a lot of ground in a short amount of time wihtout worrying about currents.  Whether making a shore dive or diving from a boat, a DPV is a great way to see more and have a blast doing it.  Ocean Legends' founder Darren Fox is a DPV expert, not only having years of expedition experience using DPVs, but also having designed his own.

In our PADI DPV Diver course, you’ll learn all about DPVs from dive planning organization to equipment considerations and and how to avoid harming fragile aquatic life.  Being aware of the impact a DPV can have on the marine environment and on other divers is a critical component of this course and comes with a greater responsibility to use them properly.

COST: $250 + tax per diver

PREREQUISITES:

     - Open Water or higher certification
     - Ages 12 and up

WHAT'S INCLUDED:

     - Professional diving instructor
     - Course materials and certification fee
     - All scuba diving rental equipment
     - Knowledge review session
     - 2 open water dives
     - Complimentary pick-ups and drop-offs from hotels in Waikiki
     - Transportation to and from the boat harbor
     - Snacks and beverages on board the boat

ADDITIONALLY REQUIRED:

     - Bathing suit, towel, sunscreen, dry clothes
     - Certification card and logbook
     - Lunch or money for lunch

     - 1 full day
     - NOTE: ALL TIMES ARE APPROXIMATE AND DEPEND ON WEATHER, BOAT SCHEDULES, AND STUDENTS INDIVIDUAL PROGRESSION
